QUEENSLAND CYCLE STRATEGY

CAIRNS STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOP

The Queensland Government values cycling as a form of personal transport; a vehicle for health and fitness; and as a form of sport, recreation and tourism. Workshops are being held throughout Queensland as part of the development of the Queensland Cycle Strategy. The Strategy will focus on the development of cycling by integrating cycle policy into all areas of Local and State government, industry and community organizations.

Who Should Attend this Workshop

. Local Government representatives including elected councillors, engineers, planners, recreation and community services officers

. State Government regional representatives including policy makers in Health, Education, Transport, Main Rpads, Tourism, Public Works and Housing, Planning, Police and Sport & Recreation

. Commonwealth Government regional representatives including policy makers in Transport and Regional Development, Health and Environment

. Industry including public transport operators, transport professionals, bicycle retailers and wholesalers

. Community Organisations including bicycle advocacy groups, bicycle sporting groups, environmental groups and school communities
