22/9/1998 - Little boy corner Reservoir Rd and Perkins St Cairns Post 8/6/2003 hit and run - boy hit by a car 9 yr boy was killed - police have renewed search for driver of a white Toyota Dyna Dual cab utility with a tray carrying tree branches and has a bull bar - police are appealing for public assistance - police want to talk to the driver of a second vehicle who pulled up at the intersection of Enmore St and Reservoir Rd

13/11/2003 - Motorist Collins Ave Edge Hill Cairns Post 14/11/2003 Kuranda Scenic Rail train and four wheel drive collided at level crossing driver had turned off Sheridan St on to Collins Ave about 9.40 am and failed to stop at the crossing - rear of the vehicle was hit by the train - road was closed for more than 90 minutes - woman and small child received minor injuries and transported by ambulance to Cairns Base Hospital for observation
8/8/2003 - Motorists remote road north west of Cooktown 18km from Battle Camp Rd and McIvor Rd intersection Cairns Post 9/8/2003 utility overturned 61yr man received a fractured pelvis taken to Cooktown Hospital and airlifted by helicopter to Cairns Base Hospital - the other two people were not injured

29/7/2003 - Motorists level crossing Thompson Rd Edmonton Cairns Post 30/7/2003 Sunlander passenger train collided with car about 9am three people treated by ambulance - no one seriously injured - four carriages were damaged - front of car badly damaged - this accident 8th in Far North Queensland since February and 5th since the beginning of June

21/5/2003 - Motorists Captain Cook Hwy - 200m north of Rex lookout - 38km north of Cairns Cairns Post 22 and 23/5/2003 20yr old male driver of a green Holden commodore lost control on a bend and went over the cliff falling about 20m just after 7pm 21yr old Japanese woman died and two men taken to Cairns Base Hospital with minor injuries - one survivor climbed back up to the road and flagged down a passing car - Ambulance was called at 7.27pm - Police and Fire and Rescue also attended the scene - Police warn drivers to obey speed limits and be alert because this scenic drive has many bends
21/5/2003 - Motorists Cairns Library, Abbott St Cairns Post 22/5/2003 milk truck rolled over after collision with a Sunbus and came to rest on its side in a parking bay just before 7.30am Fire and Rescue crews washed away spilt milk - the driver of the truck received a minor hand injury
