MOTORISTS

Roads are for everyone to use safely. That is why we have road rules and the "fatal 4", drinking, staying awake, speeding, seat belt, is the strategy to maximise enforcement. Drivers and riders also need to travel according to the conditions of the road. This is the 5th element. Our roads could have safer conditions such as road shoulders. Narrow highways with no shoulders, close to embankments and drop-offs, allow no room for error by fast cars, large buses and semi-trailers. Roads that are dangerous for motorists are extremely dangerous for cyclists.
